Subject List

The Subject List page provides a tabular overview of all subjects currently registered in the system.

Key Elements:

  • Search Bar: Located at the top of the table, this lets users search for specific subjects by name.

  • Add Subject Button: The blue “+ Add Subject” button opens a form (not shown) for adding a new subject to the system.

Table Columns:

  • Name: Displays the subject name (e.g., DevOps, OB, demo).

  • Code: A unique subject code that identifies the subject within GradleLab (e.g., 01CT0001).

  • Class: Indicates the class to which the subject is currently linked (e.g., CLASS 1). Some entries may show a class ID if no friendly name has been assigned.

This view gives users a quick reference to all available subjects and their associated classes, helping maintain a structured academic setup.

Subject Overview Detail

Clicking on a subject in the list opens the Subject Overview Detail page, which displays additional information and recent activity related to the selected subject.

Header:

  • Subject Name and Code: Clearly shown at the top (e.g., DevOps | 01CT0001).

  • Class Assignment: Displays whether the subject is currently linked to any class (e.g., “No Class Assigned”).

Tabs:

  • Overview (Active): Shows subject basics and recent test history.

  • Students, Papers, Documents, Course Outcomes (Inactive): These tabs are present but not active in the screenshot; they suggest further detail views are available for managing enrolled students, test papers, resources, and outcomes related to the subject.

Subject Information Panel:

  • Subject Code: Reiterates the subject’s unique code.

  • Class: Reconfirms the class assignment status.

Recent Tests Panel:

  • Displays a list of recent assessments linked to this subject.

    • Test Name: The title of the test (e.g., Mid Term, devops, test2).

    • Test Date: Date when the test was scheduled or conducted (e.g., Mar 27, 2025).

    • View Button: Allows users to open and review the full test details.

Action Buttons:

  • Create Test: Opens the interface to create a new test linked to this subject.

  • Add Students: Used to assign or enroll students into the subject.

This page is the hub for managing subject-specific content—linking students, assessments, resources, and outcomes all in one place.
