1. Upload the Student’s Answer Sheet

How to Upload:

  • Locate the student record under the assigned test’s Results section.

  • Click on the Upload Answer Sheet button next to the student’s name.

  • Select the student’s scanned answer sheet file (preferably in clear PDF format) from your device.

System Actions After Upload:

  • The platform automatically processes the uploaded document.

  • Using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology, the system:

    • Extracts the student’s name, roll number, and textual answers directly from the scanned document.

    • Prepares the extracted data for automated checking against the provided Answer Key.

📌 Important:

Make sure the scanned sheets are clear and properly aligned. Poor scan quality may cause OCR errors during evaluation.

2. Begin Auto Evaluation

Starting Evaluation:

  • After successful sheet upload, click on the Evaluate button.

System Actions During Evaluation:

  • The system automatically compares:

    • Each extracted answer from the student’s answer sheet

    • Against the expected answers provided in the uploaded Answer Key.

  • The AI engine analyzes correctness, marking schemes, and partial credit scenarios if applicable.

📢 Tip:

If you notice that evaluation is slow, check the file size and clarity. Larger or unclear files may take longer.

3 View Results

Post-Evaluation View:

  • Once evaluation completes, the system immediately updates the student’s record to Completed status.

  • Displays:

    • The student’s total marks obtained (e.g., 19 out of 20 marks).

    • Detailed result breakdown ready for review.

Quick Actions:

  • Review scores instantly from the Results tab.

  • Use Export features to save a copy of all results for reporting purposes.

4 Review Detailed Comparison

To understand a student’s performance deeply, review the detailed side-by-side comparison.

What the System Shows:

  • Expected Answer (from Answer Key)

  • Student’s Response

  • Highlighted discrepancies or missing points

  • Auto-generated feedback for improvement

📌 Pro Tip:

Use Direct Paper View when verifying subjective answers and formatting issues.

Use Text View for quick evaluation of objective or keyword-based answers.

🔍 4.5 Analyze Further Questions

For multi-question or advanced tests, the system’s AI goes beyond basic checking:

AI-Driven Analysis Includes:

  • Detailed review of student responses for underlying concepts.

  • Identification of key topics covered, such as:

    • Method Overloading

    • Static Polymorphism

    • (Depending on subject, relevant concepts are detected automatically.)

  • Detection of:

    • Missing elements in the answers that were expected.

    • Partially correct answers or alternative correct methods.

📢 Note:

This AI capability helps instructors quickly spot conceptual misunderstandings, making feedback and re-teaching much more effective.
